We're inspired most by how simple shapes, lines, and colors are arranged, whether by nature or an artist. For instance, the artist James Turrell's Skyspaces inspired our Expanse print. Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater; midcentury ceramics and architecture; and Japanese and Scandinavian design traditions influence us too. One thing these all have in common is a focus on simplicity and connection to nature which inevitably leads to a timeless aesthetic—one that will never become obsolete.
We chose traditional wood block printing for this collection because our geometric designs take on this timeless and natural look. The color and slight variations in the prints more truly reflect nature's own repeating patterns.
